In order to commemorate Earth Day 2019 on Monday (4/22), Peduli Ciliwung (Mat Peci) Community, college students, together with Srengseng Sawah residents cleaned up Ciliwung Riverbank on Jalan Arus, RT 07/01, Srengseng Sawah, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.

"Around 100 people from the locals, college students, and environmental community participated in this cleaning," stated Tubagus Masruri, Srengseng Sawah Urban Village Head, Monday (4/22).
In this activity, his side also planted endemic plants such as mangifera kemanga (kemang tree), Baccaurea racemosa (kepundung or menteng), soursop, pili, java plum, canistel, and gandaria on the Ciliwung Riverbank.

the waste thus organic waste can be used for compost and other handmade products by the locals."Besides college students, we also invite local residents to take a part in this activity. We want them to be more concerned with environmental cleanliness in the future. If we can maintain river cleanliness, we are positive to be able to preserve its ecosystem," he explained.
In the future, he wants to arrange Ciliwung River to be ecotourism destination with support from South Jakarta Government.
